Image generators are fun easy ways for teachers and students to lablel and or just have fun by making many different images with there own thoughts and ideas on them.
I beleive these are great applications that teachers can use to create nametags, trading cards and a fun environment in the classroom.
Let alone the other possibilities within the curriculum.

More Flickr
With Flickr teachers can make slideshows or even games with pictures.
Teachers can use it for recognition excercises deciphering different places, items, and animals. Which can all be found on Flickr or from your own photos.
It also provides fun ways to show pictures.

Flickr
I think Flickr is a great tool for teachers, because they can implement there own photos into there lessons.
Let alone its a good place to store and back-up your photos.

Social Networks
Well first off the only Social Network I'm a part of is Facebook, but I don't really use it very often at all.
I like the look of Ning and also Gather seems like it could be useful seeing the discussions are a debate format.
I think I could use Ning to link together sports teams and other groups while I think Gather would be better for a group of teachers to discuss different topics in their areas.
Overall I see the use in Social Networks but really don't check the one I have as it is. So hopefully I will find GOOD uses for them.

Today was like any other "First Day" of class. Same setup; get name cards, get syllabus, get to work.
Learned about blogging and now here I am.
